Forest Lakes France

The lakes were originally constructed over a hundred years ago and over the years have seen various changes and improvements to make them the lakes they are today,

The Lake varies in depth from 2-14 feet and has many features including two large gravel bars which slope away towards a generally hard bottom.  Dotted around the lake are patches of silt and sand where fish can often be caught from.  The lake is weed free and is spring fed giving exceptional water exchange and quality.

New swims have been constructed complete with landing platforms and all have been barked to give the fish protection and the angler a comfortable swim.  We also have a lodge that overlooks the lake with a shower/toilet and kitchen for your use with no hidden costs.

All the fish are royal strain carp and are some of the hardest fighting fish that you are likely to come across.  We have a stock of over a 130 carp most of which are 30+, with many now in the forties.  The past two years has seen some exceptional growth and we know of 14 fish of over fifty pound being caught in 2011 with a new lake record of 58.5lb!!

Alongside the carp we have a few of the rare breed Tangerine catfish, chosen for their unique colouring which as their name suggests is bright orange.

The lake is limited to a maximum of 4 anglers though we do prefer groups of 2 or 3 giving you the rare chance to fish a big fish water with just friends as opposed to battling for swims or the dreaded draw on other lakes we all know about!

There is a small village about 3km away with shops including a bakers, a general food store, and of course a few bars.  There is the bigger town of St. Junian only 10km away where you can find a wider range of shops and hypermarkets.
